Walt Disney Studios Florida - May 1st, 1989

Walt Disney Studios Florida opened on May 1st, 1989, as Walt Disney World's third theme park. The entire park is devoted to the land that makes dreams come true: Hollywood. Guests learn how TV shows, movies and music albums are made.

The original name of the park was the Disney-MGM Studios but due to recent events including the proposed sale of MGM Studios, the name has been changed on this site.

Walt Disney Studios Florida is the key spot to learn about Walt Disney and his creative genius as this is the home of the 15 month long 100 Years of Magic Celebration. Check in for continuous changes and updates.

The Sorcerer's Hat

Though the 100 Years of Magic celebration ended on February 28th, 2003, Disney has decided to keep some of things from the big party. Such things include all the parades, except the Tapestry of Dreams parade,  and the Sorcerer's Hat which was the icon of the celebration.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith

The newest and fastest roller coaster at WDW is here! The attraction which goes 60 mph in 2.8 seconds flat takes guests through two loops and a corkscrew. The guests are late for a post show party with Aerosmith but the driver will get you there quickly...and hopefully in one piece. Each coaster car has a different Aerosmith song to jam to, so go on it a couple of times to hear different favorites.

Beauty & the Beast LIVE on Stage
The animated classic has become a musical here. Though the songs are out of order, most people know the general plot so it isn't too confusing.
